Technology
At LandSafe, it's our goal to utilize technology to empower every area of our business. That's why all of our real estate closing services have the ability to provide you with technology-based solutions and products designed to streamline and speed your everyday tasks. This same technology allows our team to communicate faster and more accurately with your business.

Technology plays a key role in the success of all of LandSafe's real estate closing services. That's why each system is designed from scratch, utilizing the newest technologies. All of our closing services use these systems to offer their own unique technological solutions to your business.

  • LandSafe Appraisal Services utilizes a sophisticated workflow automation system that accepts orders from our internal Loan Origination System, Fannie Mae and the Internet. These orders are electronically transmitted into the appraisal system, processed and electronically transmitted back to the customer. This system was designed and implemented internally utilizing the latest Microsoft Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools and their most sophisticated database system.

    The majority of appraisers we use are e-commerce enabled. This allows them to receive orders electronically and transmit the full appraisal back to us, including photographs of the property.

    We are also one of the pioneers in the field of completely automated property valuations. Our latest technological advance is our ValueFinder®, which provides rapid property valuations.
The LAWS internal workflow system uses artificial intelligence to optimize the flow of orders throughout the LandSafe system.
  • LandSafe Flood Determination is highly automated. In most cases, a flood certification can be delivered within minutes of placing the order. Our Internet delivery capability facilitates the ordering of flood certifications and life of loan services - all while improving actual delivery time.
  • The LandSafe Title companies offer services throughout the country. Many of our offices are divided between Florida and California. As a result, we utilize a high-speed Wide Area Network (WAN) to facilitate communication between branches. Currently, we are in the process of developing a new Title Workflow and Vendor Management System designed in-house using the latest client/server technologies.

LandSafe's entrepreneurial orientation allows us to quickly embrace emerging new technology and apply it to continually improve our business processes. We have taken several steps to keep your business ahead of the pack. We give you the competitive advantage by using the latest technologies such as RAD, Extensible Markup Language (XML), COM+ and others. LandSafe welcomes customers who strive to capitalize on technology and the new e-commerce paradigm.

Besides being able to connect directly to us via the LandSafe Web site, we have partnered with a number of businesses including CLDNet, MORNet Plus, Platinum, Platinum Plus, CWBC, BCE Emergis, Day One, CALYX Point, INTEGRA Destiny and others. This allows us to create a custom solution for any new customer.

We are proud of our participation on the Fannie Mae Web site and the MoreNet network. For your convenience, you can now order credit reports and appraisals online from the Fannie Mae site.

Our future plans focus on XML and continuing our efforts to provide connectivity to any potential business partner.

Because you never know when a system failure might occur, LandSafe has developed a full-fledged backup plan. There are servers in two locations: Simi Valley, California and Plano, Texas. Each facility has a primary server for each application, as well as a backup server available to take over should the primary server fail. Additionally, the two facilities backup each other. This redundancy applies not just to our internal servers, but extends to our Internet servers as well.

While LandSafe has an in-depth understanding of today's technology, we also keep our eye on the future. We're constantly updating all of our real estate closing services with the newest programs and software to help keep your business on the cutting edge.

In our continuing efforts to become a fully automated bundled services provider, we've also established a data warehouse that will allow us to seamlessly integrate the delivery of all LandSafe services into one unified system. With this integrated system, your business will have the convenience of online statusing, ordering and delivery of services. A future release will contain consolidated billing. We utilize the latest database products available from IBM and Microsoft, and plan for more aspects of the business to be included in the data warehouse.

LandSafe's benchmarking activities keep us at the forefront of quality trends. In association with the International Benchmarking Clearinghouse, American Society for Quality, International Society for Performance Improvement, American Society for Training and Development, International Association of Business Communicators, Society of Technical Communications, and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals, LandSafe is on target with its quality effort.

In fact, LandSafe and its family of national real estate information and closing services companies were recognized by the Quality Texas Foundation for "Option II Participation and Achievement" of performance excellence in the foundation's 2001 awards competition. This recognition signifies LandSafe's continuous improvement of quality and performance excellence in compliance with the Texas foundation's awards criteria based on the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award.

LandSafe has established its own Quality Assessment and Audit team to place a stronger emphasis on product quality and to better leverage the strength of its infrastructure. With reporting, measurement, customer listening and response processes well established, LandSafe has reinforced its commitment to employee training and development by launching a precision Training and Performance Improvement team. LandSafe developed a customer-centric Business Excellence group that interacts with customers, listens to their needs, provides solutions and makes them successful.

It's our goal to provide our clients with the highest level of quality possible. We do so by continually auditing and assessing every area of our business. Of all the improvement tools available for use, a quality assessment or audit provides the best periodic organizational check-up. First, we examine LandSafe's quality system to ensure it is capable of producing and delivering conforming products. Then, we examine whether or not it is, in fact, doing so. LandSafe's aggressive formal and routine quality check assures products and services are delivered with the highest accuracy and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. All of these measures ensure we are providing a level of quality that's unsurpassed in the industry.

In addition to our auditing and assessment procedures, we also maintain a custom designed Quality Control System for each LandSafe company. This system provides random and specific sampling of products and services to ensure they meet LandSafe's and industry guidelines. The Quality Control System also allows us to audit customer service activities through check sheets and call monitoring. The results of LandSafe's Quality Control System feed directly into our Training, Business Processes, Customer Survey, and Service Level Agreement processes.

LandSafe's Customer Satisfaction Survey provides valuable feedback to each LandSafe company regarding reliability, responsiveness, and assurance of its products and services. Two Customer Satisfaction Indicators (CSI) are computed to measure and pinpoint areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement.

LandSafe combines three survey processes to provide a full circle of "customer intelligence" to management and frontline employees. Our quarterly Branch Satisfaction survey solicits feedback from branch networks. Our Product Transaction surveys of selected products provide immediate feedback to our production teams for fast identification of improvement opportunities.

To keep a pulse on our borrowers' expectations, our Borrower Satisfaction survey asks the consumer for feedback on our consumer related products.

LandSafe's disciplined approach to following up on each low-rated survey, and/or a request for training or product information, demonstrates the full circle survey process and our commitment to customer satisfaction.

LandSafe's Service Level Agreement is a cornerstone of our measurement for continuous improvement. With joint accountability, LandSafe incorporates the critical components of customer success in each Service Level Agreement: order confirmation, product delivery, vendor management, product quality, customer service, and dispute resolution.
